Job Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for managing and reporting financial information, including analyzing data, preparing financial reports, budgets, tax returns, and accounting records. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Prepare and present financial reports to management.
Account Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development and implementation of annual budgets.
- Prepare financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast.
Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and file tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
Accounting Operations:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform general ledger entries.
Audits and Compliance:
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
