Job Description

The Inventory and Order Processing Officer will be responsible for extracting orders from the Metabase and creating order numbers for each order using the Order Management System. He/She must be able to use Excel and work hand in hand with the other departments to ensure that orders placed are fulfilled.
In addition, will oversee the inventory levels of the businesses.
Receive and record new stock as it’s delivered, shipped out and returned including recording daily deliveries and evaluating shipments.

Job Responsibilities

  • The individual must be able to perform each essential duty below satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Processing orders that have been received and shipped on OMS.
  • Tracking inventory levels to ensure that orders are fulfiled accurately and efficiently.
  • Implement security measures to prevent merit, damage, or loss or inventory.
  • Answering questions about order status, and product information to neid resolve customer concerns.
  • Record all inventory transactions accurately in the warehouse management system.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between physical inventory and system records
  • Review order forms to ensure that all required information has been provided
  • Managing all communication with team members and ensuring compliance with timeframe and quality.
  • Implement best practices and process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Investigate and report any inventory discrepancies or loss incidents
  • Analyze inventory data to identify slow-moving or obsolete items.
  • Oversee the receiving process to ensure accurate recording of incoming stock.
  • Monitor inventory levels and stock movement.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Coordinate with the receiving team to inspect and verify the quality of incoming products.
  • Setting up a work area with supplies.
  • Creation of sales order numbers on Stockone
  • Check the address on each invoice and ensure they are clustered correctly with the location tag.
  • Cancelling Unavailable/Out of Stock Items on the system and documenting appropriately.
  • Update of the Last mile and distribution tracker

Special Skills and Qualifications

  • Should have a bachelor’s degree/Diploma in any related field with 3 years’ experience in the same or similar industry.
  • Fluency in writing and Communication
  • Must be familiar with logistics operational tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Work efficiently with little supervision.
  • Basic computer knowledge for using word processing (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Must also be familiar with the use of printers and scanners.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
